Looking to buy a home but worried about affordability? Eligible households can apply to buy homes at reduced prices.

The city’s Moderately Priced Dwelling Unit Homeownership program requires for-sale properties to be available to Rockville residents at more affordable prices than market-rate homes. Under the program, homebuilders are required to set aside a certain percentage of affordable for-sale homes. Prospective homebuyers must meet specific requirements to maintain ownership and eligibility.

Get added to the list in three easy steps to receive a call when MPDU homes are available:

  • Attend a first-time homebuyer class.
  • Obtain a mortgage pre-approval letter from your bank.
  • Complete the city’s MPDU homeownership application online.
