Apply for an Outreach and Restoration Grant
About Apply for an Outreach and Restoration Grant
The Chesapeake Bay Trust, in partnership with the City of Rockville, administers the Outreach and Restoration Grant Program. This funding opportunity supports shovel-ready environmental and sustainability projects led by local organizations, private schools, non-profits, HOAs, and faith-based groups that improve waterways, restore habitat, reduce pollution, implement climate and flood mitigation, and engage residents in hands-on conservation efforts.
Organizations with projects still in the planning or design stage are encouraged to explore the Chesapeake Bay Trust’s Watershed Assistance Grant Program to help prepare projects for future funding.

Eligible Projects
- Stormwater management practices such as rain gardens, permeable pavement, green roofs, cisterns, and other green infrastructure.
- Environmental outreach and education focused on pollution prevention, sustainability, and community engagement.
- Innovative projects that advance environmental and water quality goals while incorporating climate adaptation, flood resilience, nature-based solutions, or benefits for underserved communities.
