In response to COVID-19, Mayor and Council voted May 4 to suspend the MDPU recertification requirements until Sept. 30. Landlords may renew the resident lease term for one year without completing the MPDU recertification requirements.
On May 7, a letter from Rob DiSpirito, City Manager was sent to property owner managers and lease agents.
As of April 1, 2019 the city will no longer accept or process MPDU application in the rental program. Applicants must submit the MPDU application at the rental properties.
The City of Rockville Moderately Priced Dwelling Unit (MPDU) program provides affordable housing in the city.
The City of Rockville also partners with Rockville Housing Enterprises to provide affordable housing opportunities at sites throughout the city, offering for-sale housing and rental opportunities to qualified candidates.
