Rockville Holiday Drive
About Rockville Holiday Drive
For over 50 years, the City of Rockville has operated an annual Holiday Drive that relies on a collaborative partnership with local churches, schools, civic organizations, service clubs, businesses, social service agencies, and individuals working together to distribute holiday baskets to Rockville families and seniors in need.
The Rockville Holiday Drive relies entirely on monetary contributions and donations from local individuals, schools, businesses, and organizations. Donations are accepted year-round.

2025 Holiday Drive Recap
Rockville’s community warmth and holiday spirit were on display during the 2025 Holiday Drive, with a total cash amount of $20,393 raised to support families and people in need throughout November and December. In-kind, or non-monetary, donations totaled $25,000, including donations from Wegmans Grocery and Gyuzo Japanese BBQ. The drive served 750 Rockville households, including seniors, for Thanksgiving, and reached about 1,500 children and teens in December.
Over 500 volunteers assisted with Holiday Drive operations for November and December events, including high school students participating in the city’s Latino Youth Development Program who volunteered at both events and were a tremendous help. Staff used the city’s volunteer website to promote the volunteer opportunities and recruit volunteers.
