Community members once again this spring have the opportunity to learn what it takes to be a police officer through the Rockville Community Police Academy. In this 8-10 week course, you will learn about all aspects of the police department, receive hands-on training and earn a graduation certificate upon course completion.
Rockville is engaged in a sustained, communitywide effort to fight back against the crisis of opioid overdoses gripping communities across the United States. All Rockville City Police Department officers have been trained in the use of the lifesaving prescription drug Narcan and each officer has been issued at least two doses.
