Ordinances and Resolutions

An ordinance is a law adopted by Rockville’s Mayor and Council, usually to amend, repeal, or supplement the municipal code, provide zoning specifications, or appropriate money for specific purposes. A resolution is a formal expression of opinion or intention of the Mayor and Council and usually becomes effective upon adoption.
